Welcome to Vanilla Importing Company, where tradition meets excellence in natural vanilla products. Our story began in 2005, inspired by the rich heritage of Mexican vanilla and the passion to share its flavor with the world. As a family-owned company, we have grown into a trusted name in the manufacture and distribution of premium vanilla extracts, pastes, and beans.


Our journey started in the heart of Mexico, specifically in Papantla, Veracruz the motherland of vanilla. We traveled and we sourced vanilla extract and beans from one of the oldest establishments in the region. During this time, we learned directly from the locals about the art of vanilla cultivation and the meticulous ancestral process of crafting authentic Mexican vanilla extract.

Products

We are proud to deliver vanilla extracts without added sugars and use the natural fructose of organic agave nectar to sweeten our paste. Our artisanal manufacturing process relies on an ancestral recipe cherished for over a century, ensuring that every bottle is free from additives, flavors, or synthetic vanillin.

Accessibility

We are dedicated to enhancing the accessibility of vanilla extracts, which have often been exoticized and treated as a luxury ingredient available to only a select few. Branding pure vanilla extracts as exotic or luxurious commodities maintains high costs, keeping them unattainable to most. We acknowledge that, in the past, we have unintentionally reproduced such narratives in our product branding. However, upon becoming aware of these issues, we at Vanilla Importing Company took active steps to decontextualize and eliminate the industry's exoticization of foods from our productions' ethos and branding. We hold our ethical standards to the utmost importance and continuously improve our standards across our supply chain, manufacturing process, and distribution.

Agriculture and Production Process – Give Back

VIC's practices are oriented toward ethical and environmentally conscious philosophies. We recognize that the dedicated coworkers, collaborators, and local farmers who expertly cultivate our vanilla beans are the backbone of our production journey. For this reason, a percentage of the net income is allocated to developing solidarity-building initiatives with the collective that facilitate the flavors we love.
